PARSONAGE COUNTRY HOUSE HOTELReceptionistJob Purpose/Scope:To ensure the correct registration of guests, room allocation and guest cash, cheque and credit payments.The successfully receptionist candidate will be responsible to:General Manager/Head ReceptionistLimitations to Authority:Head Receptionist and management instruction.Area of Responsibility:To ensure you can contact other members of staff when required.To ensure good customer relations by telephone, correspondence and personal contact.To record all reservations.To allocate rooms to guests.To type and file.To liaise with other departments.To compile guests' bills, ensuring all correct details.To handle all cash, cheques, credit cards and vouchers. To ensure secure handling of cash.To keep reception area clean and tidy.To keep reception records in order.To enforce Company credit policy.To ensure highest occupancy possible.To ensure correct print outs completed on daily, weekly and monthly basis.To balance float, welcome and PDQ machine at the end of the shift.To handle guests dry cleaning and laundry.Any other reasonable request made by management.Hotel experience is essential.
