Are you an experienced PHP Developer looking for a varied and interesting project management role? If so, look no further.
Our client is a fast-growing Kentish Town based web design and technology company specialising in high-end web design, web-based software development and online marketing. Their client's include SMEs, charities and large corporate clients. They are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic Senior PHP Developer / Technical Project Manager to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented individual with strong leadership skills to play a key part in a leading company's ambitious expansion plans.
As a Senior PHP Developer / Technical Project Manager, you will define and deliver a number of web design, software development and online marketing projects, ensuring they're on time and within budget. Managing the whole project lifecycle, you will help with bids, write proposals and attend client pitches.
Initially, this will be very much a hands-on role. Hitting the ground running with a view to moving into a true technical project management role, you will manage projects throughout their life-cycle, whilst mentoring guiding your team.
As a part of your role, you will create requirement specifications, lead workshops and manage a highly talented and passionate in-house team of designers and developers.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- OO PHP (Zend Framework) programming skills - JavaScript experience (ExtJS, jQuery, AJAX and JSON) - Server/Database architecture (LAMP/MySQL)' - Experience of managing a team of developers within an Agile Environment
Furthermore, as a Senior PHP Developer / Technical Project Manager, you must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a flexible, can-do attitude. You will be dedicated, hard-working and have strong leadership qualities.
Although not essential, experience in any of the following would be beneficial: Amazon Web Services cloud (EC2, S3), MS Project, Gant charts, IA, UX, accessibility, usability, web standards, unit testing, Continuous Integration (Hudson), Agile methodology, PM tools (such as Project or Visio), CMS or email broadcast systems.
